Welcome to Capfriendly.

And Detroit passes on both trades, Neither Nylander or DeBrincat come close to getting those kinds of returns.

Yzerman isn't trading for Nylander he doesn't play defense he's completely 1 dimensional.

With the Ottawa trade Brännström does play both sides but he is still left-handed like Chiarot who has been play on the right since the Hronek trade. Detroit is looking for a right handed defenseman but that is no big deal because no one seems to realize that even people who have been told that numerous times. So as a new user there is no way you'd be expected to know that. DeBrincat would be a nice addition but Kasper and 2 1st round picks is just too much. If Ottawa can get much in return for him they should absolutely take it but I can't see Detroit being the team that pays that much. Detroit has Larkin in the #1C spot and then they have a couple of good 3rd line centers but none that have proved they can play consistently play as a #2C.

Not sure how you got DeBrincat to sign for 3 years at $6.5M... that's some real witchcraft.
