I don’t think the Leafs can afford to retain on Brodie.

Why are you trading Timmins when 3 of the Leafs D are UFAs and one is going to hit 40.

Don't know how these keeps the core together as Matthews will want raises next summer.
But to me, what's so special about the core four? Paying Matthews and Nylander more next season doesn't improve their play.

Schenn 900k top pairing. Gudas 2.5 million 3rd pairing. People shouldn't judge Schenn from his last contract, he is worth a lot more than that the way he played in Vancouver and Toronto.
