Yeah I’m not doing this. There’s no telling that 7OA pick won’t be a better player than CC. I’d rather just offer sheet him after the draft for our 2024 and 2025 1st rounders and also get to keep Brink

don't know, I'd rather see Foerster play, keep Brink and the 7th overall pick and still have 9mil in cap space to improve the defense.

the only way that RD will improve is in the draft

I don't get why fans are trading CC, he wants to be here and is exactly what we need and no one actually knows what is going on behind closed doors with regards to his contract.

Montreal isn't really worried about an offersheet either cause it would have to be at the 4 1st's to not be matched or be 9+ mil for 5 or less years. Do you really think a rebuilding team is going to offer 4 1sts or 9 mil contract? No contending team has that kind of cap space, so who is going to offer that type of OS?

Possibly, but IMO the problems on defense are more about mix.

I would adjust York to RD on 1st pairing with provorov, sanheim-risto, and a third pairing with DeAngelo or rookie RD Attard and see whether Seeler/Zamula can win that spot or get a 27-29 yr old solid LD (Soucy?).
    Or go:
    Provorov-Severson
    York-Ristolinen
    Solid Vet-Attard
    Seeler/Zamula

Attard looks real good, Zamula can play both sides, Samson had a real good year, but theres a ton of defensive prospects in the 2024 draFt. LD has Andrae and Ginning.

Would be nice if they had a Jiricek or Reinbacher. Good thing they have 2 1sts next year when the younger Jiricek and also Henry Mews are available

I think Cam York HAS to be appart of any caufield trade.

Maybe I'm too high on him but I see him become a top 10 defenseman

As far as I know reports I have read that Habs aren’t interested in paying what he wants and then a Canadian Insider tweeted out the Flyers specifically were thinking of Offer Sheeting CC. I’m only going off what I have read, obviously none of us know what will actually happen

What do you think about giving 2 unprotected 1rst for Caufield in that case?

I get that, I am just saying that for an OS not to be matched it is going to have to be 9 mil + at a minimum on any length of contract. If that contract is 5 years or less that is a 2 1st + 2nd + 3rd and the Flyers only have 7.7 mil cap space to work with plus their own RFA and FA to resign, they only have a 15 man roster as well so I feel like an OS is the last thing they want to attempt

Flyers will be moving out a lot of cap this summer anyway so it doesn’t really matter cap wise. I am going to make a team soon about what I think they should do this off-season and you can see how I make the cap work for it

I’m fine with giving up a 2024 1st and 2025 1st for him. I’m going to make a team soon and you can see what my ideas are. It is easier than explaining it to everyone who asks lol

Montreal easily match any offer below 10,5 millions. Only way to OS him is to pay 4 first
