You've overpaid for Ullmark. Not many team on his trade list would pay that much. Why not offer sheet Swayman for more term if you're willing to pay a first and third.

Because they don’t have the assets to.

Boston does not have to move Ullmark. Not taking 50 cents on the dollar for him. NTC or no NTC. 🤷🏻‍♂️

With the Bruins cap situation, and Ullmark can't be traded, Swayman is certainly available to an offer sheet.

Detroit should consider this, it's a pretty decent deal.

If you were to add the rights to Filip Hållander I'd accept.

Ullmark can be traded. And i only see two teams that have the assets to OS Sway that would compensate them enough and pay him enough for them not to match. It’s highly unlikey.

I don’t think Pittsburgh is in the situation to be trading away their 1st round picks in both of the 2024 and 2025 drafts.. that’s gonna set them back so far

You have great faith that Ullmark can traded to team on his trade list, that is willing to take his full cap. For an offer sheet....it's only picks and more teams have those compared to limited numbers of teams that would be on Ullmark's trade list. I'll agree that if Ullmark is traded, Swayman stays, but IMO a trade of Ullmark well that's really difficult. There are good UFA goalies available.

Bruins will require you to take a dump player like Zboril as well

When you can show me his list, and tell me for certain what his willingness to be moved is. Then we can go from there.

What i can tell you is the teams that have the 1st/3rd to OS Sway…most either were non-playoff teams that are not going to give up a top 15 pick…or just don’t need him. I see 2. One has their own young goalie signed reasonable for years, the other has 9m tied up in goalies with trade protection that are not overly desirable. Anything less than 1st/3rd. Boston matches. No real worried about it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

All the trades are not worth it but especially not giving up a 1st for Ullmark

No we wouldn’t and Zboril at 1m not only is not a problem, he’s a need.

Zboril is awful.... From November 24 to February 22 they dressed him for ONE game. That should tell you how management feels about him. Go find one of 100 free agent D who would sign for the same that are better than him. Will Butcher from Texas Stars was Montgomery's captain at two different levels - USHL and NCAA. Go get him for $800k

Of course, I can't you certain the teams he will be traded to. But my analysis isn't as homerish as "He can be traded". Swayman. If Ullmark isn't moved, can the Bruins even match a 4.3m offer sheet for a second rounder? Swayman may not want to two years from the Bruins to be paid

OK lets go with Ullmark's 16 teams he would be willingly to be traded. Tampa, Florida, Leafs....really don't need goalies or have the cap. Rangers, Flyers, Flames, Canucks, Oilers, Avs, Seattle, Nashville, Dallas, St Louis,...all have goalies, or NTC goalies or no cap to take on Ullmark.
So that leaves three.....Canes, Vegas, Pens. Canes, Vegas, could very well sign their UFAs goalies. Yep that's leaves the Pens and lets say the Devils Yep that makes sense, but don't expect much of a return when they might be the only two team that could realistically trade for him.

Can’t tell me whose on his list, proceeds to tell me who is not. Comical. Half those teams I don’t agree with. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Multiple teams not listed that would work as partners. And one, Seattle that would make sense for both teams. Seattle has very few holes in the lineup plenty of cap space and a need to upgrade in net. Grubby has posted a sub 9 sv % and above 3 GAA in Seattle. Paying 2 Gs 11m the next 2 years is not ideal but doable.

Ullmark/Reilly for Goyette/3rd/Dreidger works.

Nor can you tell if Ullmark even wants to stay in Boston. Lol.

Most likely scenario if they keep both is Sway signs a 1 year deal with Boston. Next year when the cap increases again he will be in better position to sign a long term deal for more than he would get this year anywhere else.

He was also 8th on the depth chart. Did not need him.

He’s looked good a times and poor at times. After they move Reilly, Forbort, and possibly Grizz out for cap purposes they’ll need cheap 6/7 type. I’d rather give him a chance and see what happens.

If we can move those three, I'll take that trade off to have Zboril in the lineup everyday. I like where your heads at

Reilly and Forbort are gone wether it’s through buyout or trade. It’s what they do with Grizz. They should move him. Will they 🤷🏻‍♂️
