Because 8OA player is going to be better than Tippet and the moves they make this summer will help them compete now. If they are moving their 8OA it's more much better play than Tippet. I like him but he isnt' worth 8OA.

SJS GM did not sound like a guy that was drafting Michkov. He wants a quick turnaround player which is Smith or Carlsson. Only team that's a threat to take Michkov is MTL, but their GM also sounded very uncertain they'd take him. Reports are they like Reinbacher a lot.

Possibly. WSH might be able to get a late round compensatory pick. But, Mantha is owed almost as much money for one year that Mrazek was owed for two, and there is a pretty large discrepancy between his salary and on ice production. Also, Mrazek was needed last year, Mantha is not a need. So, Idk... If Davidson feels he isn't done shaking hands and scratching backs to establish himself, we might see him do a few more favors like this. But, at face value, I think Mantha should easily cost that 2nd with nothing going back, in order to dump him.

Hawks easily decline that. The price for dumping that much cap is atleast a 3rd. Not a minor pick upgrade. When the hawks made that mrazek trade they had zero nhl goalies. They don't have that same need for mantha.
