Hawks decline. Takes the Isles '24 2nd to dump Bailey to the Hawks

Yeap....Hawks are not paying a pick, they'll be buying a future 2nd if they were to take Bailey

That's fine, we will keep the pick and bury him in the minors for the remaining year left. I rather keep our draft capital anyway.

1. Wahlstrom is an RFA and has proved absolutely nothing yet, why would we give him 4.5 when he's still under team control?
2. Same thing with Bolduc, no need to give him that type of money when he hasn't proved anything. Especially when he's sitting in the press box like you have him doing.
3. Mayfield wouldn't sign a 1 year deal at this point in his career, and certainly wouldn't take that money. He'll get 4x4 offers from other teams.
4. Like others pointed out, Chicago won't be giving anything up for Bailey. Include the 24 2nd and his cap hit is gone
