Maybe you need an explanation for this one, cause no way Chicago is doing that.

Dickinson full circle back to Van. Also has no future in Chicago given rebuild. He's a replacement piece in Chicago with any FA. Chicago wants to move up and this is the deal.

They won't be doing that deal I can say that for certain. They like Dickinson, and it might be a high 3rd or low 2nd to move up in the draft.

Not to mention that VAN needs to shed cap, not add it...
What's with all the VAN fans believing that their pick it worth more than it is, doesn't matter the draft, it's all magic beans... and CHI will not over pay...

Bringing Dickinson back to Vancouver would be a peak soap opera moment

Hawks decline. #19 and #35 is an overpay as it is to move up to #11. Adding Dickinson makes it even more lopsided in Vancouver's favor. Dickinson may not have a future in Chicago, but he's a solid 3C the Hawks need, even if just for next year. Maybe they move him at the TDL.

I don't get why he wants Dickinson back . . . I think on draft night, if someone like Ryan Leonard slipped to 11, that might work if it was someone KD saw as a difference maker.

Van is okay to move ahead next year as is. The option to move cap/player from wing to cap/player at center/defense is their focus. A high 3rd or low 2nd won't move up in the draft, especially mid to early first range. Maybe a smidge but not into the lottery imo.

Lottery is over, Chicago won the 1st OA pick.
Of course they would like to move up, just like everyone else, and are willing to use the cap as a weapon, but won't be taken advantage of. Chicago sets the price, not the other teams.

Actually, the team with the pick the other desires does. There is no cap here Van is asking Chicago to use. Maybe you've seen too many ACGMs with Boeser going the otherway?
