The Islanders don’t really need to add Leddy because they already have four to five left handed defenseman for next season. Tbh with you there is an argument that Leddy himself is a negative asset, and his three remaining years make little to no sense for the isles to take on.

Krug is a negative asset, and the blues would be lucky to swap him for Granlund and a mid round pick imo.

You would trade our possible best Prospect, the 14th overall just to swap Krug for Granlund? Blues should pay us instead of us paying them.

The Pens can keep Smith, the Isles can keep Bailey and Holmstrom.

Krug was fine before he went to STL tho…
Does he just get hate bc his contract is bad?
Like he’s always played 20+ minutes while putting up solid possession numbers and points…
Aside from the contract (which doesn’t matter bc the pens will be bad for a while in a couple years anyway) I don’t see what’s to not like about bringing him in

There’s not a huge drop off in any stats though… and considering STL is no where near the team BOS is I’m ok with that

Doesn’t post great metrics, can’t defend, heavily overpaid. I’m only exaggerating a little when I say that you would be better off trading for almost any other d man in the league.
