Cause Harris is better, cheaper and younger than Barrie.

It's not a question of adding - NSH straight up declines. Glass isn't available, Barrie should help the PP (and fetch a pick or two at the deadline, if NSH is out of it), Dvorak is a cap dump, and NSH doesn't have a spot for Harris.

U need something shiny to draw nashvilles attention, if they head for a rebuild, not enough upside or team control to help kickstart the rebuild.

Far from a cap dump but sure and Harris would play in their top 4 for years to come so not sure how he doesn’t have a spot

Why not you get a future top 4 D for what appears to be a future middle 6 centre

The guy is being overly dramatic, same as many in this thread. Nashville dealings have made their left side weak and Josi might be dangled. 22 years old effective top4 signed at 1.4M the next 2 years with control in the future in Harris is definitely an asset for a team like Nashville.

Nashville famously struggles to develop defensemen. (Sarcasm)

No guarantee Harris is more than just a guy

Josi has five years left on his contract. McDonagh and Lauzon each have three. Stastney is ready for a spot in the lineup. NSH doesn't need another LD - especially not at the expense of a young 1B-2A center. That's a legit area of need for NSH, and Glass is their best one.

Haha yes Nashville is the worst at developing D-man(which helps my case in this trade )..Same can be said for glass as well though
Pretty even trade and possibly helps both teams in future

He's a 3rd liner making way too much money. And what? Our whole identity over the years has been having an incredible D core lmao.

Our captain and Norris caliber defenseman might be dangled? Damn, you must be close with Poile and Trotz, I mean it's not like Josi was one of our three 'untouchables' at the deadline.

We're not worried about "cost controlled LHD". We have guys like Stastney and Olsson who will be taking shots in the lineup soon enough. Josi is also able to play on the right side. Matier is a RHD and can also play on the left side.

No idea where you're getting any of this information lol.

…I was also being sarcastic it by you saying that it means they have the potential to develop Harris into a possible top 2 dman

Glass at most will be a 2A centre don’t see him having more than 50-60 points in a season

So by this logic you wanna trade a top defenseman for a 2nd line center? Hmmm.

Let's get him a coach that doesn't healthy scratch him as much as Hynes was. He's looking pretty good at the Worlds.

Glasser was actually pretty solid this year. His offensive toolset seems to be getting better, and he put some solid defensive metrics. I would absolutely love to keep developing him, rather than moving him.

Still doesnt change that nashville has a real need for top 6 centers. Dvorak doesnt change that.

"Nashville's dealings have made their left side (Josi, McDonagh, lauzon) weak so Josi (norris caliber LHD) might be dangled". Failing to follow the logic here. Josi is one of a handful of players that have ever gotten trade protection in their contract from Poile in Nashville. He is in Nashville unless he says otherwise. LHD isnt an area of need for the immediate future and trading a top 6 C which is an immediate area of need in Nashville doesnt make sense for them

glass is just coming into his own and he is not available. Secondly he is not needed in montreal where suzuki and dach are clearly better and glass is not a checking shutdown type of player... He doesnt fit montreals needs especially if dubois is coming in a year.. Plus harris is going to be a good one s0 lets just keep him.
