I figured either Habs or Sharks fans would really hate it. I wanted Mesar last year and want Michkov this year. Michkov also makes more sense for SJ’s timeline.

Why wouldnt you just draft Michkov at 4? Either way, the Habs get Smith or Michkov if they stay at 5

And im the Habs im only making this trade if I really want Michkov and think the Sharks are taking him

I suppose that was to up the ante for Mesar. Mesar definitely has top six potential though he is smaller than Eklund even…

And having stood next to Bordeleau, I promise you that dude is not 5'9" - my guess is 5'7.5" to 5'8". We're extremely short (ha) on tall prospects, and Grier likes them big.
