Joe Sakic laughs at you and deletes your number.

McDonagh trade isn't terrible but has Muzzin vibes -- older guy likely to get injured one too many times.

What do the leafs want with half a man for defense. Girard is everything the leafs don't want on the d-core.

He can skate? Move the puck? What's the problem?

What do you do come playoff time. He won't be able to clear the net or play gritty. Any team in the divisions wingers will just run over him and go to the net. He's probably a 3rd pairing offensive zone d-man that will make Holl look like Hedman. Leafs have Rielly for the pp and Liljegren for moving the puck. They need a big guy to clear the net and play nasty in the playoffs.

I agree but they also need guys who can give talented forwards the puck. A guy like McDonagh can be brought in to clear the front of the net. The problem with Brodie is he couldn't do either.

I have no issue moving brodie l think he is so overrated. Doesn't hit, clear the net, put up points. Next season if the leafs have him he will even be worse come playoff time.

Moving Girard to take back as much cap defeats the entire purpose for Colorado.

I like it for nashville. Mcds health has been fine but you might want to remove the puck magnet in his face. I swear the dude had some bad luck with that last season

Pretty fair trade I don’t think anyones expecting mcd to last much longer. Leafs would hope he’s able to play out his deal

Avs aren't trading a 25 year old dman signed for 4 more years at 5m/year for a soon to be 33 year old also making 5m/year, but only signed one year. The ~80th overall pick next year and ~140th overall pick the year after is chump change, doesn't move the needle at all.

What incentive is there for the Avs to make that trade? I'll answer it for you. None.
