Interesting that you expect Arizona trades to NHLers to the Leafs.....for a cap dump, an LTIR, a prospect, and middling pick.
Why does Brodie waive, and why to the Hawks give up anything for a one yer rental.

i like the NSH trade but the the ARZ trade is not bad either because of Murray. I suggest dumping murray there and looking for a d somewhere else like maybe CGY for 1 year of Hanafin

Except he’s worth way more to the rest of the league. You could easily retain 50% and flip him for even more at the deadline.

If you want to set up the trade with another team where CHI retains and gets paid something worth using a retention slot on, then by all means, go for it. But, we'd be lucky if we could recoup as much as you have CHI paying here, if we were to "flip him".
