Sabres pass pretty easily.
This would be more than double any return for a goalie in the past 10 years

Buffalo obviously isn't doing this.

That site is a joke

UPL is not Calder eligible anymore, he played in 33 games last season.

Miller was 15-22 with a .923 spct on a horrible Buffalo team when that trade him. He was still playing at a very high level up to that point.

The level of play wasn’t the issue. The issue was at that point, there weren’t many buyers….well not many who were gonna pay the big price, mainly because it was also a deadline deal, and the closer to the deadline you get, the less leverage you have. Only contenders who specifically need goalies will pay a big price for a goalie.
St. Louis was the only team at the deadline who made sense that year to upgrade over Halak, and even then it was questionable for them to upgrade over Halak by paying a huge price because Halak was actually having a great year that season.

But that year, there were not many teams that were looking to add Miller at a big price Tag.

With Helly, there are more suitors at the moment, including New Jersey, and Pittsburgh

Cory Schneider with one more year got a top ten pick (Bo Horvat) which is probably the biggest return I can remember recently.

Helly will still get a pretty sizable return given the fact that he is one of the few amount of goaltenders who can play that workhorse role and be a true number one, and Do it at a elite level, even with one year left, and will have a lot of interested buyers.

For me, the most I would pay would be around pick 13, I would also want to get Brendan Dillon in the deal, and would not part with Quinn, Peterka, Kulich, Levi, or Savoie. Off the table. I would be open to Ostlund and maybe Rosen.

Hellebuyck won't sign a 3 year extension, He's looking at 8 x $10,000,000 per TSN. Plus he wants a cup now. And that's not happening in Buffalo.
