Nashville first round pick is the #15
Floride first round pick the #31/#32

that could be and idea as Nashville save around 4.5m for both year but go back from 15 to 31 or 32 in the draft, but is Montréal able to add 4.5 for the next two year ?

in 2023-2024 mtl could effort to add money as they only have to sign RHP and Caufield to big contract but in 2024-2025 they could potentially go out to get Dubois or other big UFA so is a gamble to do. Take back 4.5m more and get an better draft or Keep lower cap salary and pick at the end of first round pick.

NSH isn't hurting for cap space. They're not moving down to save a couple million.

Also they are the Home team for this year NHL draft. As the Host i would see them more doing an trade to pick higher in the draft.

So let's make it the 5th, Armia and Hoffman for the #15 and #24 (EDM) + Johansen (I'm about to get crucified by Habs fans, and rightfully so.............) grimace

this could be a good idea trade if MTL have the choice to pick michkov or outside of top . selecting in #15 could get Gabe Perrault and #24 Ethan Gauthier. that could be good addditons to mtl prospect pool and French canadians.

They’d save almost 5 mill. They’d for sure do it.

They already have over $15M in cap space, they're retooling - not going for it, and there aren't any high end UFAs to spend money on this summer anyway. Downgrading from Johansen to Armia and dropping down over 15 spots in the draft makes no sense for them.

If anything, I could see them taking on unwanted contracts like Armia's for picks. Armia + FLA's 1st for future considerations?

Johansen is horrible. They can’t wait to get rid of him.
