No thanks on Compher and Donato. Hard pass on those guys. If we’re signing Korpisalo then we need to have a true 1A and 1B in the crease. Though he had a nice year, Raanta is not a true 1B at his age.

I kind of agree with you on Donato, not crazy about him. However, I disagree with you on Compher, I think he can be a solid 3rd line center for us. In terms of goalies, I think Raanta is better then DeSmith and Korpisalo is similar to Jarry. We need a more consistent goalie then Jarry. I am fine with resigning Jarry instead but I personally dont think we can bring back both Jarry and DeSmith. Someone needs to go. We'll see tho, who knows what Dubas will do if he is hired. Could see him making alot of changes since he isnt afraid to.

Paying a guy like Compher 5 million per year after having an outlier season is a bad bad idea. Let someone else overpay him. He played second line center on that Avs team this year, when taking that into account his numbers were pretty meh. I agree that the goaltending needs a shake up. I just don’t think a tandem of Korpisalo and Raanta is the answer.

Pens could pay Rodrigues 2 mill less and get similar production out of the 3rd line. I want nothing to do with paying Compher for his career year.
