That deal is so weird, I mean the Flyers probably accept? I have no idea really that’s an interesting one

Lol no. GM's love big RHD that can eat minutes. Myers at 3mil is a good deal even if it's just for the fact that you can flip him at the deadline with another 50%retention for a late 1st or 2nd.

Doubt that. Podkolzin seems like the one exact type of prospect/young player that Tampa would take and turn into a middle 6 force. But tbh go ahead and take Rathbone too. I don't think he really has any value.

Honestly this is a shortsighted move by Vancouver but I could see it.

No thanks, without the 3rd you can keep him. We don't need retention so it doesn't matter, doesn't add value to wings

Adds value in terms of what you can flip him for. If you can't see that then that's on you.

I've had conversation about the same trade with less retention with a bunch of red wings fans and they all said they'd take it IF they don't decide to spend on a RHD in free agency.

Wings pass regardless of your name calling. You pay the piper or you can be stuck with a bad contract and player

Colton is 20 goal/82 playing 12 mpg with linemates like Vlad Namestnikov, Pierre Edouard Bellemare, Boris Katchouk,Taylor Raddysh, Riley Nash, Mathieu Joseph. Not knocking these guys but they're 3-4 liners give Colton 17-19 in top 6 he's a 30-35goal 55-65 point guy

Really weird lol but yeah Flyers definitely accept easily can flip Garland with retention at deadline for a pick and Bear is underrated and could probably play with York next year (At minimum on our 3rd pair)

I think Detroit takes that. The retention makes the difference. He's not the first or second or even third option but he is an option and if those other ones don't work out then no reason to not make this deal.

Could at least get Laughton despite giving two solid assets and free pick for nothing. That's no bueno.

Myers trade is fine, but I would do that Garland trade much rather as a Wings fan.

I don't really care what comes back if anything the point is moving on from both of them. Of course if you can find an actual return you take it.
