Oooh, that’s certainly an interesting jets trade. If the jets want to move heinola, they take that. But I think they find a way to make room on the backend and have one of chisholm or heinola win the job (I give heinola the odds).

Not a fan of those contracts for Athanasiou or Stanley, and no need to sign Mayfield if we aren’t moving Myers. Would also pass on the Jets trade altogether

Totally, my thinking was D is an area of strength for them and it seems Heinola has had trouble cracking their lineup. So to move up in the draft they could part with him while adding something up front. Obviously Vancouver is doing it for cap relief

Well the play would be to move Myers after his bonus is paid out at end of summer and all RHD move up a slot. The thinking behind these moves was to get faster up front as Toch's is big on forecheck, as well as bigger and tougher to play against on the back end.

Vancouver isn’t using 11 to dump garland when he has actual value

VAN needs to dump $$$$$$$$ and Garland is on their bleep list and of a bit of value to teams, despite having a salary that's above his value.

It's a popular thought that VAN will have to deal their 1st pick with Garland.

WPG says DEAL... but barely. That #11 pick could garner a steal and it's worth the gamble to take Garland. If the pick doesn't yield a steal, than it's still a good pick and the Jets will package Garland off to someone else with Cap space, because the Jets don't want any more tiny forwards.
