Why would they not do that? Vancouver isn't competing next season. You get a mid round pick and a guy at a lower cap hit who is 1 year from UFA. Also they need to shed salary.

I'd take Tyler Myers but Vancouver would have to eat 50% of his salary. But I'd throw in a 2nd round pick.

Bear fits in great and unless he is going to price himself out he shouldn't be going anywhere.

Geez, the right side of that blue line is still awful. None of Lundkvist, Bear, or Hakanpaa are good enough to handle top pair minutes.

Canucks have a bad defense core and you want them to trade their #3 d man who is 25 and cheap with team control?
