Played about half the year at both Wing and center. Played first line center when Tage was injured/playing hurt.

Maybe buffalo takes that deal but probably not. Mitts is the best value piece they have and need to get a players to replace him that is as good and fills weaknesses such as face offs. The picks are that valuable to us with oir current prospect pool. You might be better of offering johansen at 50% if your just gonna bury him on your 3rd line wing.

Swap Fabbro for the 2nd and you probably have a deal. He can play center just fine too. Was their 1C the last 15 ish games of the year when Tage got hurt and never looked back once he got that opportunity

Buffalo should ask for the 15th pick and Ufko in any Middlestadt deal. Not saying Nashville says yes, but that would be my starting point.

As good as Mittelstadt finally was last season and as enamored as Granato was with him, the reality is that the Sabres have to eventually make room for Krebs as the 3C (with 1C/2C already filled by Thompson/Cozens) and figure out where Savoie and Kulich best fit. Mittelstadt is a playmaker at heart but so too are Krebs and Savoie. My guess is that they'd jump at getting two more picks in the top 46 of a deep draft.

Fabbro isn't a bad option in lieu of 46 OA pick, given the Sabres need more depth on defense (especially at RHD) and that Fabbro at age 24 and a fluid skater seems to fit the Sabres' M.O. for roster building.

I don’t see the Sabres fishing for draft picks at this point. If they’re trading a player like Casey Mittelstadt, they are looking for another roster player to replace him with, and/or to fill another need. I could see Kevyn Adams asking for Sissons and Fabbro in return. Not sure Nashville would do it, but it would fill needs for Buffalo, and give Nashville a Young Playmaking Center to replace the older ones whose contracts expire in the next couple years.

I couldn’t disagree with you more
The last thing the Sabres would want is Johansen
Picks would be fine, especially with all the forward talent we have coming soon

Yeah, Mitts was a top10 pick for a reason
He was finally able to stay healthy for a full season,
& it showed

The coming talent is exactly why. his contract is up after next year so we get a decent vet center for the 3rd line and hope one of these prospects out play him for his job in 25-26.

There’s no way we’d waste our Cap Space on him imo
He’s overpaid
And plays a position we are solid af at
