I understand the circumstances and it's totally reasonable for fans to be ready to move on from him but man, the Jamie Benn whiplash is wild. A year ago it was like "this guy is cooked, his contract is an achor", then six months ago it was "Jamie Benn, former Art Ross winner, is freaking BACK" to now it's like "this guy's brain is broken, his contract is an anchor" yet again.

It would be smart to sell Benn high off of this great season
1.) I think he will really want to stay
2.) It does not really help DAL cap wise the trade

Benn has a NMC and the Stars don't have the cap space to take on MORE cap after a trade like this.

Crazy how a completely resurgent year that saw him nearly as a PPG player and 2 solid rounds in the postseason can all be forgotten because of one mistake. I'm sure it's this way across every fanbase, but the "what have you done for me lately" mindset of Stars fans over the last 16 hours has been absolutely wild to witness.

Even if you want to move Benn out, Kuznetsov will not play well in Dallas. He is too lazy, and players like Seguin will not motivate him to play well

Suter would love this, then he'd sign with another team and be getting paid by 3 teams next year
