Not sure if you meant a young player from the Flyers specifically or not but if you did the Flyers aren't interested in moving any of their guys like that (Frost, Tippett, Cates, York)

Dude, no one is giving up a top 10 pick for Ehlers, let alone adding to that.

Really not a fan of the ehlers deal here. Would rather get an actual high end forward with that package

Where’s the top 10 pick? You’re not getting eighth overall plus for ehlers.

    2024 1st round pick (WSH)

When WAS finishes in the bottom at the end of the 23-24 season the Jets get the top 10 pick. Might as well just do it this year.

It’ll be real funny when the jets implode this off-season after they got absolutely curb stomped in round 1 this year and continue to have no success while the caps end up back in the playoffs after only missing twice in the last 15 seasons.

And for the record, ehlers isn’t even returning what’s proposed here. Be ready to be disappointed, although jets fans are used to that!

Lol yes do it this year… the deepest draft in YEARS instead of next year where the talent pool is much less and the Capitals will have a new coach and a better team. Great logic.

You should talk. How was your playoff experience? Oh, didn't have one?

    Get accustomed to that.

Three series wins in your entire franchise history. I can count them on one hand. How many cups do the jets have? wink

How many cups do you have in your lifetime as a fan? If my calculations are correct I believe the guys you’re laughing at about missing the playoffs have 1. Very recently. I don’t go out of my way to defend our rival’s fan base, but man are you brutal.

Whoa, not trying to get in the middle of this, but as for the Philly trade… you can have exactly 1 Kevin Hayes with no retention for that price (that might actually be a stretch because I think we’ll get better offers elsewhere). You could also have 1 wade Allison or 1 nick deslauriers. There’s not as much value in that second as you think. We have no idea where WSH could finish in 2024-2025.

ehlers is a great skater, skilled, and can produce. assuming wsh doesn’t trade the 8th ovr pick he is one of the better options in my opinions

In that case, I’d be watching every 3rd line in the playoffs and targeting any UFA next year. Amadio and Carrier come to mind. Vegas probably will have a hard time paying them what they deserve. If you have 5 mill on cap space, you should easily lure them. They both make just over 1m iirc
