Loving the return DAL receives from CHI.

Not sure about the deal for WPG. Lindell is decent, but not sure what he brings to WPG. Don't think he's worth 2 picks for them since they already have too many D.

Not sure the Boeser deal gets either team near their goal. The trade makes Dallas worse who is clearly in cup contention mode and even at this stage of his career Benn is the better player. For the Canucks the reason to trade Brock is to clear cap space. Canucks decline.

Lindell isn't waiving for Winnipeg and the Jets aren't spending assets on another LHD.

Tell you what, if you give Chicago a 3rd instead of a sixth we'll throw in a large fry and a case of Old Style.

Trading Benn isn’t the answer. Moving Lindell would be wonderful but I don’t see him being willing to go to any team willing to take him

Clearly we are making that deal. Adding picks as well. We get bigger, tougher, better player who can also play center. Like come on now.

Ya this past year.... ok he was better. But look at more then just one season. Over the past 5 Benn has put up 251 which is pretty much exactly 50 points a season. Brock, to I'm sure your surprise, has put up the exact same amount of points. Before you say it, yes, clearly Benn is the superior player defensively. But at this point in their careers Benn is 33 and Brock is 26. Who do you think has the best chance of getting better, staying the same or regressing? Benn could easily regress back to being the 39 or 35 point player he was just 2 and 3 seasons ago. Do you think if you put Benn on a line with Mikheyev and Beauvillier that he puts up the same 78 points he did playing alongside Wyatt Johnston and Tyler Seguin? I have my doubts. Not to mention or point out that at this point in his career Benn isn't playing center over EP40 or JT Miller so his value as a center to the Canucks is lessened. I guess my point is this isn't the slam dunk you think it is.

This team is not tough and needs a 3c. Why wouldn't Benn just play 3c? We'd role out 3 strong lines and we could stack them if we need to push. In term of regressing I don't mind if Benn puts up 50 points from the 3c. He'll also add leadership and toughness. Aman put up 16 points this yr at 3c. I wouldn't write off Boeser completely but all signs are pointing toward him never being that top line difference maker. His points are totally hollow and he doesn't drive play. A 3rd line of Beauvillier - Benn - Mikheyev would be so killer. Thats a great idea. It'd be as near a slam dunk as hockey trades get.

God damn! I live in New Hampshire now, north of Boston, and I can't tell you how much I miss being in Chicago and having a decent italian beef place around every corner. Seems like almost nowhere else in the country has italian beef, and that is crazy. It is like 10 times better than philly cheesesteak, yet you can find a philly almost anywhere you go.

I think it's the definition of a hockey trade. I think both guys have the potential to bounce back with a change of scenery (in Benn's case continue to bounce back), but if they don't no one is worse for wear.
