Don't see why AZ would do this... think they still have high hopes for Cooley...

Maybe so. Going back to school for another year is not a great sign for the Yotes though.

How? Knies stayed two years, snuggerud also is going back. Beniers, power, Q Hughes, L Hughes, Kent Johnson, Lane Hutson, cutter Gauthier, JVR, just some of the highly touted players who have done two years in college. He wants the hobey baker and a natty, simple as that.

Defensemen are a bit different but you have some good comps there. He did say that the recent vote and uncertainty are a factor though. I am curious to see what he would do if Keller is not sold on the plan. Apparently they talked before he made his decision.

While he was influenced by the decision, from everything I heard coming out of Minnesota the coaching staff expected him and snuggerud back next season anyways regardless of how the vote went in Cooley’s case. Keller stepped into a bad coyotes team instead of taking his 2nd year of college, I imagine he advised him to just take the extra year while Bill Armstrong continues the rebuild. It’s sound advice, and it’s nothing to worry about unless he heads back for his junior season which I just can’t imagine him doing. Two years in college is becoming increasingly popular honestly
