Very fair, think caps would accept.

Why not stay there and draft Carlsson?

Yeah if I'm Caps I'm 100% taking that. Guarantee Michkov, Carlsson or Smith. Heck yeah.

I really think the Sharks could get more for the fourth overall pick. I'd gladly take that as a caps fan.

I can’t see San Jose moving out of the top 5 for an extra 2nd and 3rd

Not enough for Vladar

Guys numbers say otherwise, backup is what he is, not worth anything more

Classic, checks the numbers and ignores the eye test response. This is why scouts exist, people eho watch him play know of his potential and that his SV% this season was more due to Calgary's high shot suppression system. Look at Freddy Andersen for example. .908sv% at 5v5, Vladar had a .906sv%. both goalies had the 3rd and 6th lowest Shots against per 60

Caps take this and run but not exactly sure why the sharks would look to trade back when they can snag Michkov, Carlson, or smith. They ask for more value coming back the other way as well.

If they are seeing less shots having an average save percentage isn’t a good thing. Both goalies are on two of the deepest defensive teams in the league. 2.91 and .895 aren’t good numbers for such a deep team on D. That’s below league average

No you clearly aren't getting this. When a team is that good at shot suppression then the shots that tend to get through are often redirected, high danger chances, cause by bad line changes/giveaways, or the team getting stuck and tired in their own zone.

The eye test says that Vladar is a really solid goalie with legitimate 1A/1B potential. He would not be available at all if Calgary wasn't in a cap crunch and had a guy like Wolf coming up. He is also dirt cheap and quite young for a goalie. If you don't want to pay up then look elsewhere
