Necas is a very likely candidate to be trade, but it wouldn’t be for futures and a downgrade at forward. It’s be in a package for a much more established top 6 forward difference maker now.

Canes decline. He had 2 points less than Bratt and is a year younger, there's your starting point for Necas

I would keep Sharangovich and Gritsyuk. And make better use of the pick later. And there is a whole discussion about Necas on that other thread.

I like the Brodie deal…would be curious what leafs fans think.
