Pass on both. We wouldn’t be able to afford to keep Lindholm and Marner has no control

Not with that Marner trade. Not trading roster pieces for someone that doesn't fix the goal scoring issues. Marner is a pass 1st guy, doesn't change anything, not worth core pieces.

I actually don't mind the Lindholm trade, but I doubt it happens because Calgary's center depth isn't great as it is

Lindholm had better numbers than Horvat. I could see them taking offers elsewhere (3rd going back is a stretch)

I think you forgot to add Aho, Svech, Jarvis, Slavin and Nikishin to the leafs trade as well

35 goals in 72 games last yr. 30 this yr. Not to mention he facilitates others scoring goals. Guy is so elite it's not even funny. Oh ya and he's up for the Selke. He'd be a hell of add.

Also Kadri, Lindholm, Backlund you're calling not great? That'd be in the top 10 of center depth in the league.

Isn't a pure goal scorer, and while he's not at all bad defensively, being nominated for the Selke means nothing. It's for guys that don't crap themselves in their own end who score a ton. Otherwise it would go to Barkov, Bergeron, Stone almost every year

Yeah getting a third back was wishful thinking. A first, a second, and Drury seemed like a tad too much so that's why I threw it in there but not really any skin off my back if it's not there

He's not a pure goal scorer, ok but he scores more than most pure goal scorers and also is one of the top playmakers in the league. You're saying Marner is only in the conversation because he is offensive and just ok at defence and your 3 guys who should be up every yr are top offensive producers haha. Marner had better defensive metrics than Barkov. And Mark Stone played half a season. He absolutely deserves to be nominated this yr.

Aho is a shoot first centerman, Marner would fit perfect with that.
