Sheifele sucks defensively, so he is already a bad fit systemically. And the narrative of the Canes can’t score is nonsense. They aren’t the most offensive team out there, but they can still put up a damn good offense. And geez, I wonder what would happen to other teams offense when they are missing 2 key offensive players for months on end. Yet despite those key injuries, the Canes were able to reach the ECF.

Flyers definitely aren’t doing that deal. Even at $1.5M retained he is almost $7M in cap. That’s going to take more than a 2nd to move

The Canes system can shelter guys who aren't the best defensively. Getting some big time offensive guys would make this team pop. At 3 mil though, for a win now team, what a deal. Fans clutch pearls far too much.

Schenn is most likely the Blues new captain so I’m going to take a guess based on that knowledge it’s a no. No matter how good or bad the offer is. Leadership in the Blues Locker room is priceless atm.
