Is this a hypothetical trade that would've happened during Eichel's injury

Since no one ever reads the description, i'll put my thoughts here.

When it was rumored Eichel wanted out of Buffalo, I was a huge proponent of acquiring him. Based on the trade that went down, I think it would have been easy for Detroit to beat it. The 22 1st was top 10 protected, so it would have cost Detroit their 23 1st, 24 2nd and the equivalent of Tuch and Krebs. Given that Tuch hadn't truly broken out and Krebs isn't looking great, I think Bertuzzi and Zadina could have gotten it done. I'd even be willing to throw in a couple more 2nds.

This roster is the 22-23 Wings with Eichel added in, and I think it could compete in the playoffs.

No, I actually love the Hronek trade, I just think that if we had Eichel to start the 22-23 season we would've been firmly in the playoffs at the deadline and wouldn't have sold. No takesy-backsy's!
