Hawks would EASILY accept. 9.5 million for 7 years is impossible to dump. Watching Seth Jones uninspired play was difficult last year. Imagine another 7 years and almost 70 million. He’s eating 11.5% of your cap. What kind of player do you think 9.5 million over 7 years would buy you in UFA? Let me answer that for you — ANY ****ing player.

Thank the Lord…the Leafs can use that 9.5 and a few more to sign Connor McDavid instead of an over-rated, over-paid, poor defensive, defenseman that does not want to be here.

CHI does not want to dump Jones, nor do they have any need to.

No. They wouldn't. If they could trade him for positive value, they might consider it. But dumping him is unnecessary and not a logical option.
