Canucks easily decline. The point of trading Boeser is to create cap space to improve the rest of the roster and help ease the logjam we have on the wings. Moving Boeser for Hoffman fixes neither of our problems, all it does is give us a winger who is worse than Boeser, older than Boeser, and at nearly the same salary.

Not saying Vancouver would do the deal cause I don't believe they would but 2.15 mil difference and a year less isn't nearly the same salary. Also I don't think this was so much a proposal ad the OP was just looking for trades where the players had similar values.

My bad, for some reason I thought Hoffman was making $5.5 mil for another 2 years. I don't know whose contract I mixed his up with.
