I realize it's a minor portion of your roster, but LA is the last team in the league that needs RD.

Dallas already acquired Hartman once. He didn't want to sign there. I don't think trading for him makes much sense.

I would've asked for a 2024 4th round or 2023 3rd round for Collin. And trade for Kevin Fiala with Faksa, Suter, and Hakanpaa as pieces and a 2024 & 2025 1st round for him.

I thought Dallas didn't extend him a qualifying offer, which he expected them to do since they had just traded for his rights before he went fishing out of cell service. He was a RFA, so not like he had an option to not sign for at least a year if he didn't want to sit out a year.

I'm not familiar with the exact details, but it makes no sense that DAL would trade for him and then not even file a qualifying offer for him (which was only 900k anyway). So the most likely scenario was that he didn't want to sign, and DAL didn't really wanna deal with him afterwards. At least they got rid of Pitlick's $1M contract for "free", not that he was a cap dump anyway.
