Description
Again Let me know what you think, not necessarily what I would do but an idea that has merit,

With Zucker play now Pay later, If we buy him out in 4 years we buy him out its win now

I know people might hate on bringing back Kessel and I don't love it but he would be cheap, he would be motivated playing in the place he won 2 cups, he back checking won't matter playing with DOC and Kampf, and we have 2 mill in cap space to do something in the case that it dose not work out. But the issue is his relationship with Sully is not great. I LOVE THE SPEED THIS 4th LINE WOULD HAVE

That's a whole lot of nothing going to Winnipeg. There's no reason for Winnipeg to consider that.

Ty Smith and a first???????? WTF? Ty Smith and first is fair plus I threw in some RFA's to have for cheap to help your cap. Ty Smith is an NHL ready D man (he was QBing our top powerplay when Letang was hurt), we just don't have room for him because we have 2 right handed offensive D man.

If you guys don't want him we'll bring in a third team and get you guys a 2nd round pick or a mid level prospect or something.

Yea tru, I think if Alvin has time to reject this trade before JR finds out it was offered u pass but no way JR turns down Rust and Poulin if he finds out

Ryan Poehling and the 14th overall picks are good, but the rest in the Helly trade are not.

Think harder... the 14th overall pick, Peohling and.... someone like Owen Pickering or Bloeqvist.

I would be ok giving up Bloeqvist but I would get flamed by pens fans. But Ty Smith makes this trade fair, Winipeg might decline based on pay style but if so we bring in a third team. Ty Smith was literally QBing our top Power Play and doing a good job of it. We just do not have room for him Because Tanger and Petrey are too Offensively minded

Ty Smith is a smaller 23 LHD and fills absolutely no need to the Jets and would hold no value to Winnipeg. They have Heinola who is a younger version of Smith.

It doesn't matter if you think it's fair. It only matters if Winnipeg thinks its fair and of any of the pieces fill a need. Other than the 1st, they're all pieces that hold no value for Winnipeg.

I agree to a point. I think Ty Smith has potential. He's good and still young and can play both sides. Still on the fence though.

Im not going off Lol but JR gets in love with players, and Rust was one of them in Pittsburgh, he would suck Rusts dick in press conferences

all the time

Like I said, its fair but you may not take it based off play style but if so we just bring in a third and get you what you need

I'd consider it. Garland will probably get around a 3rd, and we should be able to flip Rust for at least the same as what we'd get for Garland while also getting Poulin for free.

Yea exactly, we could also cut the middle man and bring in a third team, I was more thinking you trade someone else to get younger and keep Rust because JR loves Rust, like the press confrences in Pittsburgh you would think Rust was his husband

It's a first and a bag of pucks. Several teams would offer more in a heartbeat

If ty Smith is so good why did he only play 9 games? Seems to me he's a bust/just not a guy that has enough defense to be a bottom pair guy (he's top 4 nhl or an ahler)

Like I said before.... because we had too many Offensive D man on the right side meaning we only had room for 1 on the left which was POJ..... when he was up he QBing the top powerplay

Ok then we'll make a first and a second and a bag of pucks a trade Ty Smith somewhere else to get the second.... I haven't seen anyway except for myself give you much more than first and then I got flamed for over paying.

I get if you don't want Ty Smith because of his play style but to call him a bag of pucks...... Again we just don't have room for him because of his game style,

He definitely doesn't have the value you think he does lol. He isn't a starter on the jets anyway as I would play heinola and chisholm before him. That means why have him in the deal when he's ahl again. I'm sorry to say but this deal is just garbage besides the 1st and since buffalo can give 13th and upl it ain't going to happen with Pittsburgh

So like I said if you don't want smith because of play style we can make it 3 teams. If Buffalo beats us they beat us but this trade is not ridiculous value wise at all, it just might not work which is why I posted it, to see how people feel. Someone will give us a second round pick for Smith that we can give to you guys, but like you said Buffalo probably beats it. so NVM. Still it was not a terrible trade value wise

Would need to be 2023 first and 2024 first with a prospect most likely for the jets to consider so if he's someone you really want might need to go there

Yea if Buffalo is gonna beat us out I think we should look elsewhere (as I did in my recent ACGM).

A player that can't make it into an NHL lineup is pretty much the definition of "a bag of pucks" when it comes to trading for all-stars.

He can't make it in because of play style not talent, when he was up he was QBing our top powerplay and it was one of the 2 brief stints this season our powerplay actually worked
