Welcome to the forums!

As far as your ACGM here, Wallstedt will not be in a Wild sweater next year unless there is an emergency situation - count on it. He needs time to bake in the AHL, and subsequently Fleury is likely not being traded. Middleton is not being traded. I think Gus will get done at more like 3 years, 3.5M'ish AAV. Addison will probably get a QO in the 1 to 1.5M AAV range for 1 or 2 years. The Goose trade probably happens, but it will be a 'future considerations' type of swap - he is not worth a 3rd. I don't think they re-sign Sundqvist. Lambos will not see the NHL for another couple years.

Still gotta fill out your roster with two more, as well. I personally would like to see them re-sign Reavo, especially in the likely absence of Dumba - I just hope the Wild don't pay him quite that much.

Guessing Reaves gets league minimum, but probably a 2 year deal. Guerin seems to like him and it sounds like he wants term so that kinda deal works for both sides.

Agree on Lambos not skipping the AHL on his way to the NHL. If anyone in their defense prospect pool makes the NHL team it would be Hunt or O'Rourke since they spent last year in Iowa. Doubt either makes it though, defensemen normally take longer to develop and if they trade Addison (which I think they will) they can just plug that hole with a cheap veteran for a year.

I actually think Reaves could probably get a one year deal in that price range on the market, lots of teams know what he is worth to a locker room and he can chip in on the stat sheet decently for an aged fourth liner. But if that is the price he gets, I don't know if it's worth it for the Wild with their cap situation. But if he wants two years at say $900K, I'd probably go for that if I'm BG.

Yea I think they will give it another year before giving the kids a real shot. It can all change with an injury to the top-4 though. Another reason why I think they qualify Addison for another year to see if his defensive game can improve.

Fleury isn't waiving. Minnesota isn't trading jacob Middleton. He's not being given away. So Minnesota won't do two of these deals. Welcome

Blues don't have a need for a 3rd pairing D man. We already have Krug, Leddy, Scandella, Rosen, Tucker, and Perunovich on the left side for now

A lot slow and he's a 3rd pairing guy, man. J-Bo was a near elite skater for a Dman.

Middleton's D-partners since coming into the league.

1) Brent Burns
2) Erik Karlsson
3) Jared Spurgeon

His numbers with them have been fantastic from a shutdown perspective, and is doing it against top competition. This narrative that he's a 3rd pairing guy because of his low production numbers is mind numbingly stupid, sure he's not some top pairing stud defenseman, but he's absolutely a #4 2nd pairing shutdown defenseman who HAS NEVER PLAYED A SINGLE SECOND ON A 3RD PAIRING during his ENTIRE NHL career.

Okay, first off, this notion that he has never played a single second of 3rd pairing is just plain false. One look at Natural Stat Trick debunks that wild whopper. But actually, I was saying he's 3rd pairing quality. The guy is already 27 with just 160 games to his name. Yes, he's usually been paired with all-star defensemen over his two full seasons, but's let not pretend he hasn't been the sit back passenger with all of them. I never said anything about it being because of his meager production, I'm well aware of what type of Dman he is.

But for the sake of argument, let's say you're right and he's bona fide #4 Dman. That's not what the Blues need, they need a top pairing LD. And the Blues don't use minus skating Dmen anyway.
