I like Ceci and the price is right for a 3rd pair defender. It comes down to if there's something better in FA or not.

Bouchard will receive a much higher OS than that, pretty much guaranteed.

There's no incentive for Winnipeg to do it. They aren't trading a top 4 RHD for yet another LHD as that is the absolute last thing they need.

I would take Yamamoto from a NSH perspective. I don't think a reclamation project on a 24 year old is a bad idea during the retool, worst case scenario he doesn't get a QO

I dunno how good Niemelainen is, but I see he's not waiver exempt anymore. Neither is Chisholm and Heinola should get a shot, so this trade just adds to the LD clutter while removing WPG's best defensive dman and one of only two actual RHDs. Lotta negatives there.

Flyers accept that, probably a bit of an overpay but if you’re going to add picks 2-3 drafts away then you kinda have to overpay

hes expected to sign a bridge no longer than 3 years, I just based it off of nurses 2018-2020 bridge deal that was 2 years

assuming jets do try and move him, would they want a roster player to go back, like foegele?

I would easily be offering him a 1x6 to take him from you then.

If ur going to give up that many assets it has to for a top pairing defender. Spending that many assets on a forward when our offense is already so strong makes no sense.

If you are wanting a right d-man who plays minutes, replacement will be a right D-man who can log minutes along with Foegele, i.e. Ceci or even Kulak (allowing the Oilers to clear some cap space) if you are asking.

I doubt it. They'd want youth with team control, ELC's or prospects. If it is a choice of 1 year of DeMelo or 1 year of Foegele, I'd think the Jets take DeMelo 100 out of 100 times.

    Yeah, that's just insane. Konecny (2.26 P/60) is better than Foegele (2.09 P/60), but THREE 1STS + 2ND + 6TH better??? Not close.

ppg player on a bad flyers team for 2.75, I only added the second because the firsts are a year away and the other is 2 years away, their also practically high 2nd round picks.

It's a waste of assets for a marginal improvement over Foegele.

ek65 with literally no defensive abilities, and we overpay severson, would rather overpay konecny than either of those

EK literally put up 100 points on a garbage team as a defender! While maybe his defending may not be the best he knows how to get stretch passes up ice to create scoring chances. And with mcdavid having a defender mastered in that skill would be deadly.

For severson we may have to pay a bit extra in terms of money but with guys like hyman and kane we did same and it has worked out brilliantly.

Once again giving all of these assets to strengthen a position that we are already strong in makes no sense. The back end is our weak point so it is best to focus on making big changes there rather on forward. Simply trading for demelo is not enough we need a big piece for our defense.
