If 2 Mil myers gets a mid pick at the deadline, why don't you just sell him for it then?

I'd rather the Jets keep Dillon.

because the cap space this offseason allows all those free agents to be brought in. Schenn, Hronek, Bear is a decent right side. but i agree i think the most liekly scenerio is he stays til the deadline

Why would they be buying if they blow it up? Shouldn't they keep the 2nd and trade Dillon for picks or prospects

Because that would be Vancouver retaining $4m total. Most they can retain is $3m

Hawks probably decline. Can't see them taking on a $4m cap hit for free for a player they really don't need on the chance they can flip him for something at the TDL.

the point here is moreso that if Myers had value, the Canucks would trade him for value. Trading him to us because theyre in a cap situation *assuming* that we can get value for him later isnt how cap dumps work

would hardly call turning a 32 year old into a 26 year old buying. dont think they are gonna full rebuild but who knows. if they are tanking then sure trade dillon for a 4th
