I feel like the Sharks would be looking for a more future based return, I also doubt they eat 3.3m for 4 years.

Thats exactly right. It’s trading our biggest star in a rebuild so yeah definitely needs to be a futures package and with that kind of retention, needs to be a shiny package indeed.

I am not the best value person, so I would ask @Ledge_And_Dairy

I think it is extremely unlikely that Zadorov will be available and I fully expect him to sign a multi year extension some time in July. Similar to Braydon McNabb's 4 year deal with Vegas at the same age. I think if you are looking for a big defenseman like that you are better off looking elsewhere

and just like that I circle right back to Nick Hague lol -- was thinking about trying something new but oh well lol

been trying to figure out a solid Drysdale partner and my two favorites were Hague and Zadorov

Should he not play with Fowler next year? I feel like again Hague is going to be hard to grab too. Personally I would suggest someone like Erik Brannstrom or one of the extra LD on Boston (they likely have to move both of Forbort and Reilly)

yeah we have messed with Forbort a bunch for him too

he and Fowler don't look that great together -- I think both guys need a little more defensive minded partners

Very meh package for Karlsson with a good amount of retention too. I think a 1st in 3 years, a rental, a backup, top 9 winger and no prospects gets declined rather easily

Yep. While a long time ago Grier said max 18% retention I think they'd eat close to 3mx4 if the assets coming back made it worth it
I really think a Karlsson trade will involve a third team to eat some of the retention.

As good of a year that Karlsson had I don't see him maintaining that level of production.
