Really no chance of NSH moving Askarov. This offer has some good value, but I don’t think the Preds are considering doing anything with Asky

3 things I don't like:

1) I think you need to send the 15th OA in place of the 32nd OA to Ottawa to get them to take that
2) I don't like the lack of high end Center depth in the top 6, if one center goes down we are in trouble, and 1 always goes down. Normally you'd want a Center as a winger who can slot in, if you're in a pinch
3) I don't like that the 2 top lines attack more or less the same way. It's all finesse. I would prefer a finesse line and a power line

Trotz did a radio interview where he was asked about trading saros or askarov. Short version is if he thought it gave him a shot at getting a franchise C hed have to think it over. I think hed have to give this alot of thought

Montreal is not good trade partner with Ottawa for DeBrincat

The only forwards I'd be interested in are basically prospects (Roy, Beck)

Dach too but no spot at Center in Ottawa. Caufield and Suzuki obviously not available and too expensive anyway
