Not a fan of trading Bratt for Nylander. The only thing it achieves is cutting the length of the Devils contention window while only being a marginal improvement for the one year Nylander has left on his deal.
Much better to resign Bratt for the long-term. He's a fantastic player.

I don't hate the idea of bringing Mantha at 50% into the team but I don't love giving Foote up in the deal. Foote is most likely ready for a full-time NHL role, he has an unique skillset within the organization and there's still unrealized upside in him.
Better to swap Foote out for Lazar who doesn't provide the Devils with much of anything.

McLeod's, Haula's, Bastian's and Boqvist's deals are all on the higher side in terms of AAV for me. Don't think they'll end up costing the Devils 8m combined.

I think it's the right value for Sharangovich you're suggesting but Blackhawks are likely the wrong team.
I think Colorado or Columbus could fit Yegor better.

Good shout on Clarke, I think he has a good shot to make it into the lineup.
I'd prefer to see Walsh play 3RHD instead of Nemec. Walsh is likely the better player between the two for this year and playing Nemec in the AHL saves a year of his ELC.

Don’t want Nylander. I know he’s better than Bratt but Nylander does take games off and when he does, it’s very noticeable. He was great in the playoffs for Toronto, ( one of the only guys that showed up ) but don’t want him. Bratt’s not as gifted offensively but he doesn’t take games off.

Blackwood will get a pick and then go to arbitration.
