NYR do not need a player like Mantha. And Florida first round pick isn't interesting at all.

Mantha and Hoffman are close enough value that WSH isn’t going to trade their 2nd (40th Overall) for a 4th. That’s a no.

Usually I'd say we accept cause we can flip Dvorak at the deadline with retention but our lineup really doesn't have a place for Dvorak to go and Norlinder isn't great so Flyers decline

If NYR and Caps had any interest in a Mantha++ for Lafreniere deal they would just do that. Hoffman and Wideman make the deal worse and the Habs have no business as brokers.
