Time has a value. The 19th overall selection in the 2023 draft is worth more than the 19th pick next summer because the prospect chosen this June will be a year older and have a year's more experience at every stage of his development than the prospect chosen in 2024. That's worth something, without even getting into the respective qualities of each draft levee.

San Jose would never do that even if you were talking about the Florida 2023 pick, and you're not, as @Ajp_18 points out. The qualitative difference between the second tier of prospects available at 3, 4, 5 and 6 in this year's draft overcomes the quantitative difference between one pick and the three later picks.
