If Miller is a 6.5M player, you got to think NYR will be doing whatever they can to keep him which would be easier since he's an RFA. Bridging him and dumping Goodrow would probably take precedence over trading him, especially for what is mostly a futures package.

Boston not trading Coyle and his NTC would put Columbus in doubt if they were.

Any moves they make will not be bringing cap back, or be minimal if they do.

NYR isn't going to sell low on Miller. They'll get creative and find some way to make money to keep him.

I highly doubt that NYR would end up settling with Miller as the casualty of their cap issues. Much more likely they pay to get rid of Goodrow or even sell Schneider or something imo. In the rare case they did though, it's definitely going to be more expensive to aquire him.
