Juuse Saros to every team

Created by: jtrevethan22
Team: 2023-24 Nashville Predators
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 5, 2023
Published: Jun. 5, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not a ton of thought went into all of these. Just a basis around what I would want to *start* with from every team if I am Nashville, +/- value. Some are heavier than others based on the team. Skipped some, and some teams obviously just don't make any sense. Started to get lazy towards the end

I don't think any team is giving up a top prospect for any goalie. Sabres certainly aren't trading Savoie.

Why does Anaheim get to give what they gave and Buffalo has to give savoie?

Gibson keeps the team competitive and can be flipped, Savoie is rebuild mode

Top prospect is probably what it would take in most cases to get NSH to consider moving him

Other teams have to agree on the trade too

I'm only saying that's what it would take for a team to get NSH on the phone. I don't think they have any issue keeping Saros but I see way too many people thinking they can get him for scraps

Any package that is worth significantly more than a 10th OV pick is an overpay by far. It probably takes a desperate team to give a 10th OV+ in value.

There's not a chance that Arz gives the 6th, not even if you add onto Saros. Also, not getting a great goalie prospect+a 1st+ a top prospect like in NJ. Or A starter+top prospect+a 1st in Toronto. Think that covers most of the trades in general.

Gibson keeps the team competitive and can be flipped, Savoie is rebuild mode

Gibson is bad and has a bad contract

That's fine - then Saros stays. I don't wanna see anyone post anymore trades then thinking they can get him for anything less

I don't think any team is giving up a top prospect for any goalie. Sabres certainly aren't trading Savoie.

I can see an 11-20th ranked prospect going. Saros' could turn like 6 teams into contenders.

That's why I explicitly said that some teams just don't make any sense

These are wildly uneven, value-wise. As you'd expect, trying to trade with every team. EDM's package is especially weak, given they get to dump so many years of Campbell.

This is one of the ones NSH would decline. The 1st isn't until 2024, NSH has better wing prospects than Knies, Samsonov doesn't make sense for NSH unless they have a team to flip him to lined up, and Robertson's a bust.

I don't see NSH having interest in him anyway, when they already have their goalie of the future. Drop him, and bump the 2nd up to a 1st.

I'd be fine dropping the 2nd and upping it to a first

There's no reason for them to think that Saros would cost this much even if they are considering him a top 5 goalie. Unfortunately, even if all these were reasonable it won't stop people from making trades with other than this

Samsonov is 26, so as long as they aren't going through a 5-year rebuild, he could be a part of their future even with Askarov but that waters down the return. Would make more sense if they are just retooling or doing a quick rebuild. As for Knies, his value is going to come from his style of play more so than his skill. The 2024 1st is going to be the current year. No guarantee that someone makes a move for him at the draft if at all.

IMO, I would only consider the Detroit one. Every other one wouldn't yield the best return. I'm looking for 1st, top prospect, goalie and a 2nd.

Why would Boston need Ullmark & Saros?

It's only two years of saros. You might get some of that.

Why DET? It's not the best draft pick being offered here, and the best prospect they're sending is a goalie - kind of redundant with Askarov being on a similar timeframe.

Why have one over-worked but great goalie when we could split the time between two great goalies?
