He was granted exceptional status to play in the OHL as a 15 YO, the only exceptional status player to not become a star

Veleno did get exceptional status, exceptional status list is Tavares, Ekblad, McDavid, Day, Veleno, Wright, Bedard and Misa I think, I did not remember Veleno ever getting exceptional status, I mean, the OHL has all but 2 of them, kind of forgot the Q ever had 1
