A: Calgary can't afford that
B: Nuge isn't waiving to Calgary

Besides we don't need a RNH anyhow. We need a top 6 goal scoring forward a sniper with some size speed and grit. Preferably a right shot either a RW or a center who can play RW too. Failing that a good 3rd line/middle 6 right shot RW with good size and grit would be preferable to Nuge.

Can I interest you in a Brock Boeser in this trying time? tears of joy

Topic:
I don't think Oilers would be in on this, RNH is far to valuable for his cap hit to be dealt. Also I think RNH is the best player in this trade.

I could see Hanafin -> Lindholm. But I argue Calgary has to add, Lindholm is just better. Cost more yes, but is better.

Not a chance unless he comes with about 2 million in retention. Even then I wouldn't give up much for him. Certainly not Hanifin.

How about Tanev for Boeser @25% retained? That brings Boeser's cap hit down to just under 5 mil, roughly 500k/yr more and a year longer than Tanev's contract.

Honestly wouldn't say no to that deal. Tanny is missed so much in Vancouver. And Hronek has his own line, Tanny and Huggy. I like it.

Would have to be around 20-30% retention for sure.

You passed the test with flying colors!

That was a deal I wouldn't actually do though it was pretty close. An old salesman's trick offer the customer a deal that's too good to do and him if I can do this would you take it. If he says no you tell him if that deal wasn't good enough for him then you're done talking because you couldn't even do that.

30% retention would probably get it done.

Yeah I would no be surprised if a deal like that floated around, where the Calgary wants a pick as well. I also wouldn't be surprised if Vancouver also provided that pick. Like say 2023 4th(we have 3), 25% Boeser for Tanny.
