Why pay for one year of Scheifele, when LA could be a big player at the big center UFA market when Kopitar and Arvidsson come off the books next year?

Kings certainly aren't in the market for a centre this year.

I can see the Flyers taking the deal if they move on from Provy or Sanheim otherwise they have too many LHD

I can get comfortable with this if I'm COL.

What possible use could the Kings have for Scheifele? With Kopitar, Danault, Byfield, Lizotte, and Kupari (not to mention JAD and Vilardi who both are natural centers) they have more than enough centers.

The only reason they'd be looking to move Arvidsson is to gain cap space, and this move actually reduces their available space.

Heinola for Spence is a reasonable swap, but the rest of this makes no sense for LA.

It makes no difference, we wouldn't want one season or 7 of Scheifele. Center isn't a position of concern either before or after Kopi retires.

The only Jets in whom we'd be interested are Josh Morrissey and Dylan Samberg. I'm not even a fan of the Spence - Heinola swap.

For that low a cost for 1 season to cover Landy I'd probably consider that if I was GMCM.
