We'll give you DeBrincat for Laine and the Kings' 1st.

Chabot will cost you a lot more.

I actually don't think Murphy will be made available this off season, but if he was, the Hawks probably consider that offer. Might need tweaking on the pick back from Chicago but it's a solid offer.

Laine is younger and scores at a better pace than DeBrincat. About the only thing he has on Laine at the moment is health. I'd lean that the Sens would have to add in that swap.

Not trading Chabot

Make it DeBrincat for Laine + Peeke

Ah come on... I'm not really a ADB fan but he has a much better track record than Laine. Playing most games is also pretty valuable in the NHL

Either way, Ottawa is not trading both DeBrincat and Chabot at once, unless the return is enormous.

Ottawa will give you DeBrincat + Chabot for Laine + Peeke + #3 overall.

If you want to buy into bs narratives, sure. The reality is that Laine factually has a higher g/gp rate and an almost identical p/gp rate over his career and didn't spend the majority of his career getting set up by Patrick Kane.

What are you talking about with your bs narratives? Do you think I am sort of a NHL newbie or something?

I don't buy, I sell.

DeBrincat is 30th in points among forwards since 2020-21, 200 pts in 216 GP

Laine is 103rd in that period, 132 pts in 157 GP

Playing 59 more games is very valuable. If Laine had an evolved 2-way overall game, then I could be singing a different tune but it's not the case

I'm still only asking Peeke on top of him to make the swap. I would then play Peeke with Chabot

lmao

Why would Ottawa trade Chabot for Boqvist, Peeke and a 1st if that 1st is not the 3rd OA pick? I mean, Boqvist and Peeke don't move the need much

Boqvist is not very good defensively, Sens already have a much better version in Brannstrom.

Peeke is ok as a physical defensive D-man but where is the value for Chabot? a late 1st? lol you're not getting Chabot unless something really enticing comes back
