Boeser is a negative asset and would cost more for Vancouver to dump than this.

55 points in 74 games is not a negative asset. By your logic, everyone on the Isles is a negative asset

Chicago does not do those deals. They trade away 6 relatively high picks (getting 1 in return) to get another 1st and to obtain 2 cap dumps and Boesser. They all will not be with the Hawks in 3 years when those players not obtained through the traded away picks will be close to being able to contribute.

I can’t debate the value of a player if you are only willing to judge them based on their point totals. All I’ll say is this, Boeser’s analytics suck for a reason.

If that was true then he would be gone by now.

?

Hawks keep 19OA in this deal. from Chicago perspective its boeser for a 2nd, 11OA for a 2nd and two 3rds, and hawks take on some cap dumps

I noticed my error after I posted. Changed my comment to reflect adding another 1st. Still an overpay IMO.

His defense sucked but his offensive numbers were still really good. Outweighed his negative defensive impact.

Who is trading players in June? Terrible logic. Canucks might not even be wanting to trade him

Doesn’t create enough in transition or the offensive zone to justify that price tag tho….

they only move 4 picks in reality. bc 14OA going to van was never the hawks, and pens 2nds replaces vans 2024 second. So you lose 2 picks this year bc you add 11, and one next year. Adding 11 OA for those 4 alone is probably worth it, plus you get boeser who could easily be resigned. Cap dumps mean little for us right now they just help hawks reach the floor.

What a crazy steal by Pittsburgh. You can remove every pick going back to pit and it'd be more realistic. Dumping over 20 mil in cap costs atleast the 23' 1st
