My guy i'm gonna reason with you here. Nylander is a great player, but he doesn't net you the 7th overall pick from a rebuilding team. Nor would a rebuilding team pay 9 million for 8 years when a portion of those years are gonna be stuck at the bottom. If he and Philly are destined to be, they'll sign him a year from now when he hits free agency.

The Leafs could get a pretty haul for Nylander, or any core 4 for that matter. However, its gonna be from competing teams looking to fill in the last hole in their roster for a cup run. While the value may not be the same as the 7th pick in a stacked draft, it will still be a good return.
