Los Angeles has 16 forwards under team control for next season, including a surplus of wingers, so Mantha isn't anyone that the Kings would be interested in, especially for our #3C.

Thought was take him on to get the picks. LA has boat loads of people coming into system - Clarke would replace walker and a simple F for F.
Move mantha at deadline if need be for more picks

Outside of being a center, it doesn't make sense to acquire Kuz. Again, they want to shed cap.

Theoretically they could flip him or involve 3rd team looking for a solid centre in last couple years of his career.

VAN only does that if they have some reason to believe that Kuznetsov would be more motivated, disciplined, responsible, etc. over here. I don't see any way that happens so we'll stick with our own Kuzy.

Both teams decline the Vancouver trade.

LA easily declines that trade, but it doesn’t exactly do anything for the caps either.

Both teams decline the Toronto trade.

Caps hard decline the hawks trade. That would be a massive win for the hawks. Jensen is fantastic. We just extended him. He’s not a dump.

Jensen was legit one of if not our best D night in and night out for us last year which is we extended him, not trading him

All these trades are declined probably by both teams...

But wow that Jensen trade is absolutely horrible. As others have said, he has been the Caps best and most consistent defender for 2 years running now
