Maybe. But Granlund is still a good player and a center who can move up the lineup.

Pens should take that and run. I feel like Brodie is the defensive dman that pairs well with Letang. Does Brodie play the left side too or just his offside?

Mtl says no to the retention and trading Matheson for late picks right now. He just had a great season, and sure his value is the highest it's ever been rn, but I'd think they want to keep their hometown no.1 D-man. Also, 37oa is pretty huge.

Interesting Pens trade. Getting Brodie for basically a 2nd and therefore not having to add cap by signing a UFA defenseman is something I think they would accept.
